Leaders have come and go over the years, bringing in new ideas, innovation, and transformation. However, one thing remains constant—the unwavering passion to serve and lead.
As the new academic year commences, the Junior Financial Executives - PUP conducted its annual Turnover Ceremony, formalizing the transitioning of its officers.

Just last August, the academic organization of the Department of Financial Management had its election for the Executive Board. After a month-long series of screenings, interviews, and deliberation, the Balangay Partylist came out victorious as the newly appointed officers. With the Turnover Ceremony in place, the outgoing and newly appointed officers had the chance to get together one last time before officially commencing the new term.
The event was conducted on September 20, 2023 at the CAF Audio Visual Room, hosted by the newly appointed Executive Vice Presidents for Internal and External Affairs, Ms. Kirsten Joyce Roberts and Ms. Kutleia Abby Ancheta respectively. Honored by her presence, the dean of the PUP College of Accountancy and Finance, Dr. Julieta G. Fonte greeted the officers and guests with her welcoming remarks. A notable line from her message was the mention of a Chinese proverb—"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." More so, she reminded the officers to never forget about their academics all the while serving as leaders for the students.
To kickstart the main event, the farewell speeches of the outgoing officers transpired, followed by the awarding of the Certificate of Recognition in acknowledgement of their heartfelt service to their constituents. The former JFINEX-PUP president, Ms. Kristine Joy Israel delivered her speech thanking the officers of AY 2022-2023 for their persistence and determination, as they overcame obstacles during their term that came heavy with lots of surprises and eye-opening experiences. Apart from the outgoing Executive Board, the Junior Officers were also given a certificate to recognize their dedication in helping the organization fulfill its duties.

Following this segment, the newly appointed officers embraced their new mission with their acceptance speech. The new JFINEX-PUP president, Mr. Mark Christian Santos announced his gratitude for the Balangay team for coming through with the challenges of the election and pursuing their respective positions. With this, he hoped to have a remarkable year ahead with the new Executive Board and with the support of the college faculty for their upcoming activities. With the new executives, they also welcomed their new adviser, Assoc. Prof. Bernadette M. Panibio who wholeheartedly accepted the invitation to guide the organization.
