4th year Level webinar entitled "FinaSignal: Career Guide After Polytechnic U" organized by the Department of Financial Management, held last April 6 via Zoom, successfully imparted tips and techniques to the FM students on job hunting after graduation.
4th year Level webinar entitled "FinaSignal: Career Guide After Polytechnic U" organized by the Department of Financial Management, held last April 6 via Zoom, successfully imparted tips and techniques to the FM students on job hunting after graduation. Ma'am Panibio opened the webinar by stating that this will help the student become better at finding jobs after attending. Mr. Jonathan L. Ravelas, first speaker from Banco de Oro, focused his talk about job hunting for the first time, emphasizing the importance of first impression, networking, researching about the company, putting catch praises in the resume, looking for related experiences, and communication in looking for a job for the first time.

He also shared the "We find ways" strategy through putting emphasis on going beyond the wall. Ms. Nina Canoy, second speaker, an HR Senior Manager at COL Financial Group, Inc., talked about the tips in preparation before landing on a dream job, creating important reminders using the acronym PUP. In preparing a resume: P-Proofread, Be U-Unique, and Use P-Proper Format. In job hunting: P-Patience, U-Understand, and P-Purposeful. When rejected on a job: P-Persevere, U-Unforgettable, and P-Plan. Ms. Michelle Denise Lee Ferriol from KadaKareer shared her experience of having different jobs and working with different people and how this connected to knowing your purpose, your community, and adding unique value to the world.

Mr. Amorsolo Camara Jr., last speaker, a Chief Compliance Officer of 4 multinational companies, explained the things that you can do and the things that can add value to the world.
Camara further shared his guiding principles to get going everyday, in which the students may also apply to become motivated.



In between speakers, the organizers facilitated several games to keep the students engaged, which is in partnership with Financial Management students who have businesses. Few months away, the students will be facing a world that goes beyond textbooks and online classes. Finding a job will become a priority. This techniques will surely help us survive the process.
