"You Made Me"

The morning sun shines the brightest of all.

A luminous glow deep within the soul.

A perfect start, walking towards the yesterday.

Something like "sweet escape", so cliché.

I ride a bus, sitting in priority seats.

I hold so hard, as it fast as nothing beats.

All are in a hurry, going down the same path.

Running sweaty people feels like under the God's wrath.

Four wheels stop because it is time.

My heart's pumping out of the rhyme.

I move my feet away from the bus.

And now I am standing here near the past.

I was about to enter the big arc.

When a man with a gun starts to bark

I let him see my identity I had.

"I'm sorry, madam, my bad."

Not even a smile can show how happy this place is.

Not even a laugh can show how satisfying to see something you missed.

I miss everything about here, from bad to good.

From its smell, sight, sound, touch, and food.

Aesthetic benches with a few pens’ marks

Most favorite and always crowded parks

The center and respected flag rise every morning.

And the people, wearing their uniforms that absolutely match everything.

As I look behind those walls,

I already pictured them playing their roles.

There is someone who talks, and others will listen.

If that goes, everyone will learn.

And now, I call it a day.

I am done reminiscing; I'll step away.

Turning back completely, where and what I was

But someone called, "Ma'am Topaz?"

I dig so hard into my memories.

It is old—a very long time, like centuries.

He smiled unknowingly, which may be a sign.

I looked at him, and his age is half mine.

"How are you, ma'am?" He is kind.

I giggle like someone is whispering in my mind.

"How's your doing?" Intriguing.

"I guess I'm doing fine in banking."

Something in my eyes is tickling.

Tears of happiness, and his life's winning

From a small boy climbing to the summit determinedly

"I wouldn't be here, ma'am, if you hadn’t made me."
