A new phase commences as new and renewed faces of JFINEX-PUP Executive Officers for Academic Year 2023-2024 navigate toward the streamlining of leadership—ever-evolving, adept, and thrilled to unleash an upgraded array of their plans and aspirations upon the continuance of serving organizational excellence among its members.

The Luminary interviewed the two Executive Vice Presidents of JFINEX-PUP — Ms. Kirsten Joyce Roberts for Internal Affairs and Ms. Kutleia Abby Ancheta for External Affairs, regarding their organization's initiatives and objectives for beyond and during the new term.

As the global pandemic eases, Ms. Roberts said that JFINEX-PUP is more excited than ever to conduct most of their events, such as the MFC, finance week, and other mini-events in between, which are yet to be disclosed in the future. She added that, hopefully, JFINEX-PUP members would experience again an educational field trip once negotiated with the alumni association. The transition of their activities from virtual to in-person will help create effective communication with members for the proper addressing of concerns from students.

The fresh set of officers in this academic year means that this batch of executives would similarly offer a compelling series of gimmicks for events publicity, according to Ms. Abby. The probable and most-awaited shift of major events from online to face-to-face would likewise cause JFINEX-PUP to build connections and gain active feedback from students aiming for the betterment of services when acting upon their needs and interests.

When asked about their plans to strengthen the organization, Ms. Kirsten, who handles The Luminary, answered that although there has been no exposure to outside workshops due to the limited resources and time, she now plans to propose members of this sub-organization to join outside press conferences in enhancing writing skills among them. Furthermore, gatherings may be conducted between the students within The Luminary and other Ka-Finance.

Other sub-organizations under JFINEX-Submrge catering to talents and sports also lacked exposure in the previous years. To heed this concern, Ms. Ancheta plans to propose face-to-face games and workshops to showcase the talents and skills of its members. It is to uphold engagement within these sub-organizations by coordinating with the heads, advisers, and chairpersons.

An initiative to maintain continuous involvement and interest among members of JFINEX-PUP is sending invitations and newsletters containing updates on the organization’s activities to each member’s emails. Ms. Roberts added that members may expect additional perks during membership drives that may come directly from their sponsors.

Concerning JFINEX-PUP’s image and reputation, the two VPs agree that the partnerships and sponsors from the previous terms will be the pillars of branding the organization. Ms. Kirsten also declared that relationships with these companies will be its basis. Meanwhile, Ms. Abby considers the pre-existing partnerships as an advantage or an edge in increasing the organization’s stature.

The interview has revealed that officers aim to contribute to the organizational success even beyond the scope of their term. Ms. Roberts stated that they envision JFINEX-PUP to be nationally prominent like other finance-related organizations. She added how they embrace JFINEX-PUP’s long-term development by pursuing continuous research and a systematic approach.

Indeed, excellence is their legacy.
