At first, the strain of starting a business on her own challenged her. From being a slow learner, she managed to do her research on how to make a cake and make it artistic and beautiful.

Who would have imagined that a thought of a cookie will turn into a sweet business? Starting from scratch, who would have thought that a young student will become a young entrepreneur during this crazy pandemic?

Elayza Rosales, 21, a graduating Financial Management student from Section 11s just got the taste of her success as she established Leony’s Bakeshop, this 2019. It is a small online business that caters the need for cakes and pastries on every occasion.

The tale goes that while she was seeking some cookies and decided to bake one, she ended up inadvertently starting her own business. Busy as a bee, she’s now ensuring that they are using premium and high-quality ingredients in their cakes while serving it at an affordable price. She has gone from having thoughts and ideas about baking to being somewhat problematic in a good sense, in that she’s obsessed with maintaining the quality of their cakes in every delivery.

For her, having good customer service, high-quality products can make a business unique. If the customers can count on you, and you’re able to help and answer their questions any time of the day, anticipate their patronage. Most importantly, she never fails to comply with all safety precautions for this pandemic.

Finding purpose helped Ms. Elayza discover skills she never imagined she might have. She also learned to cherish her money and recognize how difficult it is to make a living. Adult-things.

β€œI started to think differently. It hones my capability and learning. I’ve been able to balance my school and my business and manage my time wisely. Before I just did what I wanted, wasting my time on useless things, but now I think I have become productive in everything I do. Somehow it gives me a sense of responsibility in everything.”

No allowance. This is one of the complaints of not so many students who make their savings from the money their parents give. With this, Ms. Elayza did not bother and found means to earn and have her savings maintained. Her hard work and perseverance made it possible.

At first, the strain of starting a business on her own challenged her. From being a slow learner, she managed to do her research on how to make a cake and make it artistic and beautiful.

Ms. Elayza’s cravings turn out to be the turning point in her life, the finest glow-up she’s ever had. With the help of her supportive family, she was able to start her dream.

β€œWhether we face struggles in balancing our studies and business, we must continue. We may get tired and have sleepless nights, but all our hard work will pay off soon. Do not give up and always put God first in everything we do, and rest assured we will make it through.” – Ms. Elayza Rosales

How’s the taste of the fruit of her cravings, divine!
