Everything you thought wasn’t. Packed sun-kissed skin, hairstyle crowned by sunglasses, beating the scorching heat like a yellowish burned drum unstoppably roaring right after the sun. Summer vibes in the 90s, you’re describing? When you hear "beating the heat," it just felt like literally protecting your bodies because a 51-degree heat celsius killed the fun. Instead, you're feeling good, and like gravity pulled you down from a 360-building would wipe out the best in you. Dried energy, above all, creates this possibility of risk that is extremely dangerous. You have to admit, this is too far from a good climate. Though it is bearable at least, this heat is more than just a feeling — it is becoming a deadly seasonal time. So watch out. How? When there’s only a thin line between our world and the hell there is, this basic yet most crucial guideline can save your life.

Stay Hydrated.

Days are gone where TikTok virality dictates that to be healthy, drinking water is perfect for clearer skin. Well, there's truth to that, but the basic rule is to drink enough water (and coke isn’t one of them) to keep things alive. It basically alleviates relief as you may think so and pumps energy on the verge of heatiness. When going out, leave out everything but your water. Dehydration starts from dry mouth, fatigue that means going worse for exhaustion and heat strokes. These heat-related illnesses don’t choose ages; whether you’re young and feeling strong, or you’re not, don’t take a chance because it will also drag down your physical and mental condition at the moment. So count your glasses! It’s viable to say it's better to survive than pee many times, right?

Clothes and Details

Slayed with comfortability. Wear light clothes, loose shirts, choose a lightweight fabric that still instills balances in your style. This follow-up would allow keeping the mind calmer and regulating a much less temperature. Tissues or hand towels would be a big help. You can carry a mini chargeable fan, wearing sunscreen indoors is still encouraged because windows, light sources affect skin and protect potential damages. Also, do not forget to take a shower often! It’s better to start your day with refreshment, giving dopamine a nice head start. These everyday nuances matter most. Remember, never settle for discomfort, and what you feel good is the best thing to do in this extreme weather.

Limit outdoor exposure and plan your day.

Spontaneous trips may give you heart-pounding moments, but wouldn't it be better to keep things planned? This means a detailed plan for your transportation and going to work much earlier, which can steal all this time-consuming things that can lead you stuck in flaming Cheetos right around the hottest peak hours starting as early as 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In these times where heat affects our moods, you may find yourself ill-tempered and you surely don’t want that, but you can take a frequent shade in an air-conditioned place like malls or adjust for an early or late evening gathering for a less humid activity.

Listen to your body.

"This is just a heat, it’ll pass.” Those words better be off because passing due to heat effects can be serious and deadly. It takes acknowledgment to listen to your body. You might be feeling lazy or dizzy, even without doing any hard pinch task. These feelings are a hundred percent valid because they would normally occur at this time around. Pay attention to thirst, take a break, listen to your body’s cues for overexhaustion, i.e., heavy sweating, catching breath fast, understanding your physical limit. This goes equally emphatic with people who have a medical history like asthma, hypertension, obesity, heart-related diseases, and such, that contract conditions when exposed to humidity and are prone to severement.

Be Updated.

You have to take all precautions including first aid kit, procedures in case of a health emergency, and utmost, be alert of news where heat index fluctuates increasingly, especially in ‘danger’ mark. We don't know how this heat can penetrate bodies and pose a threat for illnesses. So make sure that you are always informed.

Summer isn't like the old days anymore. We have to admit responsibilities, personally filling out this heated medical risk. Even these basic notes may be greatly underrated, but these are far from surviving the Philippine jungle heat.
