On December 12, 2025, the Junior Financial Executives - Polytechnic University of the Philippines (JFINEX-PUP) held its General Assembly at the Bulwagang Balagtas, with the theme “Gilded Kingdom: The Golden Souls in Sync.” The event was hosted by former Third Year Level Representative, Jericho A. Arador and head of JFINEX Elite Singers, Mark Triztan F. Corpuz.
The assembly opened with the welcoming remarks from the President of JFINEX-PUP, John Paul A. Maliwat. He warmly welcomed all the attendees, encouraging them to enjoy the whole event, including the raffles and activities.
Prior to the event, all the participants are grouped with other year levels and blocks. Each team presented their high-energy cheers that are music to the ears, starting with Team Harmony’s loud trumpets, balloons, and banner; Team Tempo’s short but powerful cheer; Team Rhythm’s lively “aha-aha!” yells; and Team Melody’s mighty Arizona chant and rap.
Through the topic "Unmasking Your True Self: The Power of Authenticity," Ms. Alyssa Michaela Ballebar, the guest speaker, shared an eye-opening and inspirational message about the power of embracing authenticity and true selves. She emphasized that to practice authenticity or being true to oneself, one must learn about oneself, find a community, take action, and advocate for oneself.
Ms. Ballebar described the Three S’s that influence authenticity, namely Self-esteem, Self-awareness, and Social Situations, as well as the Three A’s that are worth aiming for—Authenticity, Alignment, and Accountability. She also emphasized that authenticity must have a balance between who you are as a person and who you are in a society.
A quick forum was opened by Ms. Ballebar, making the attendees reflect on the question “What inspired you to live more authentically? What moment sparked that change?” She concluded her message by highlighting the line from HUNTR/X’s song “Golden,” “I’m done hidin’, now I’m shinin’ like I’m born to be,” encouraging everyone to embody the lyrics.
A captivating performance followed, presented by the first guest performer, FAO Dance Crew. They received applause from the audience as they showcased their fascinating moves, choreography, and stage presence.
The marketing department also joined the assembly and led the marketing segment, beginning with the Hunter’s Claw, locking the participants’ attention on their tickets. The announcement of the days-to-go winners followed, rewarding those who had actively participated in their General Assembly countdown posts on the official JFINEX-PUP Facebook page.
To keep the energetic vibes going, a loud and impeccable performance was showcased by PUP - Quezon City’s alumni band—Pahimakas. They gave a rendition of Lola Amour’s famous song “Fallen” followed by their own composition and a powerful cover of Hey June!’s “Lasik”.
But, what’s an event full of business students without some money? Coins.ph—a crypto-based company in the Philippines—brought some fun to the audiences with their Q&A game along with some cash prizes.
The awarding of the contest winners followed, in which Xyza R. Fullante and ELLVN championed in the “K-Pop Visual Blitz” individual and group category. In the same competition, Ælite placed as the 1st runner up and TWNX as the 2nd runner up.
After was the awarding of “Slaycon: The Hunter’s Masquerade” in which Carl Joseph S. Suarez and Sophia Bridget M. Clemente won as the champion and the 1st runner up, respectively. And with the fierce energy and hyped chant, Team Melody was awarded as the Best Hunter Team.
The awards kept coming as the special awards were given. Awarded as the best sections for each year-level was BSBA FM 1-6, 2-7s, 3-2, and 4-7s. For the Hunter’s Radiance Award, Kent Melvin Padel and Deanna Margaret B. Baldosa were awarded. And Team Harmony—because of their consistent spirit and evident teamwork—won the Echo of the Victory Award.
Followed was the recognition of the most outstanding team leader and assistant leader which was awarded to Kyle Metzger B. Genolaga and Juliana Marie S. Angeles from Team Harmony and Team Tempo, respectively. And with the continuous pouring of awards for the Team Harmony, they undoubtedly embodied unity and rapport, making them attain the Best Team Award.
As the event reaches its conclusion, the audiences deserve to get some prizes too. Headed by John Paul Maliwat, JFINEX’s President, was the raffle draw for those who have submitted their booth checklist and who have registered as a member of the organization.
To end the event with a blast, a special performance from the officers of JFINEX was given. They showcased a dance with a mash-up of K-Pop trendy songs along with the song “Soda Pop” from the show K-Pop Demon Hunters.
Subsequently, to recognize the winners of the ASEAN Investment Challenge 2025, a testimonial was given by Christian Mapacpac, David Bariuan, and Ezekiel Aguinaldo. And to finally conclude the event, a closing remark from Demi-Rae A. Camacho—JFINEX’s Vice President-Internal—was given.
The event truly is a spectacle of multiple gilded things. From an excited and loud crowd, an insightful message about authenticity, a fueling of knowledge, to a blast of everything that keeps the souls in sync.
Quoting a line from K-Pop Demon Hunters, “It is your voice. Your song.” May this quote remind everyone of who they are and how golden they can be if they let their voices be heard, speaking the sound of their souls.
